Records, records, everywhere....

Armed with our limited knowledge about records management my trusty partner and I set out to look at a real records system in a real company!
We had the forsight to eat at Maður Lifandi first, just to make sure we had enough energy for the task. Then off we hopped to the company of our choice. We were given a wonderful guided tour by a delightful ex-MLIS student who wishes to remain anonymous. We saw the whole set up, including the shredded records in the rubbish bins.
Three hours later we collapsed in the nearby coffee shop and rewarded ourselves with coffee and cake - we deserved it.

First time for everything!

No escape I suppose. A project is a project and in this case a project is a blog site so here goes...

Welcome to my blog site.
Woke up this morning with a feeling of doom. Records management project to hand in followed by Internet class and lab. First snow of the winter is not helping the mood. Next it is Pilates for the first time in 10 days (too sick to go last week :-) ) which should leave me energised enough to dash home and cook dinner for my abandoned children.
